A product of Seto Cutlery, from the famous knife-producing city of Seki, Hyogo Prefecture. This knife uses 33-layer VG-10 nickel Damascus steel. Damascus knives have a core of steel that is several layers thick and this harder core (VG-10) is then surrounded by a softer material, making the blade harder to bend and chip, just like Japanese swords. This beautiful knife also makes a great gift. The multi-layered steel produces unique patterns that ensure that no two knives are ever the same.
