YAMATO HAMMERED YANAGIBA / SASHIMI KNIFE 205MM (PAULOWNIA WOOD BOX PACKAGING)
YANAGIBA is a Kansai-style Sashimi Slicer.
It is used to slice boneless fish fillets into sashimi and sushi toppings.
YAMATO series are produced by Shizu Hamono Seisakusho which is located in Seki City, Gifu prefecture in Japan.
They have made knives that have been used for hundreds of years in Japan, like SANTOKU all -purpose knives ,
NAKIRI vegetable knives, and DEBA filetting knives styles with a simpler shape that's easier to use.
The triple-layered blade has an exterior of hard to rust stainless steel and a core of Molybdeum Vanadium stainless steel, which can
keep its great cutting ability for a long time.
The hammered YAMATO pattern also makes it easier to cut things apart.
The handle uses laminated, reinforced wood that means it sits comfortably indoor hand and is highly resistant water and rust.
To make it durable against water, a metal cap has been installed so that water can't permitted between the handles and the blade.
