Product Description

FUJIWARA SHIROGAMI 1 / WHITE CARBON STEEL 1 NASHIJI  NAKIRI KNIFE 165MM

Nakiri is a vegetable knife.

Since their founding 1870, Fujiwara Hamono has been making Japanese blades as sowardsmiths for 135years.

The FUJIWARA NASHIJI NAKIRI is an accumulation of all of the skill s and expertise of 4th generation blade smith Teruyasu Fujiwara and a

"wholly hand-forged knife".

This knife combines a visible strong inner SHIROGAMI1/WHITE CARBON STEEL 1 with a stainless steel outer edge.

Forging SHIROGAMI1/WHITE CARBON STEEL 1 is very difficult and very few blacksmiths have the necessary high level skills required to make it.

This extremely long-lasting knife has a Nashiji finish (literally Pearskin finish) giving the knife a

slightly rough, matt texture which ensures your vegetables slide off the blade with ease.

This highly recommended knife is also easy to sharpen and maintain.

Using only the best materials, and thanks to its scrupulous heat processing, this knife is

incredibly sharp, and it keeps this sharpness for a very long time. For the average home, it won't require re-sharpening for 6 months-1year.

As the knife doesn't really lose its edge, the knife takes a very long time to wear down and can normally be used for over 20years.
